Tamerlane litters are planned with the intent of keeping at least one puppy from each litter.  Our breedings are planned with the goal of improving the breed and our breeding program.  The sire and dam are carefully selected to compliment and/or improve upon the next generation.  The sire and dam will have the age appropriate OFA hip and elbow clearances and CERF eye clearances.

All puppies are whelped in our home.  They are raised underfoot and socialized with our other dogs, children, friends and family.  The puppies will have had at least one set of vaccinations and been wormed three times before going to their new home.

It is our primary goal to find loving, lifetime homes for our puppies and to provide you with a healthy, sound companion. By living with these puppies for eight weeks or longer, we have a very good feel for their personalities and temperaments and have found that it is works best for everyone if we pick the puppy for each family. The selection of your puppy has nothing to do with first, second, third pick, etc. A lot of thought and consideration is given into making the selection as we look at what you tell us you are looking for, your families situation regarding any children and their ages, the activity level of your family, other pets etc.

Serious inquiries are welcome to visit by appointment when the puppies are six weeks old.

Puppies are sold to pet homes on an AKC Limited Registration only.  Limited Registration means that the dog is registered with the AKC but no litters produced by that dog are eligible for registration.  A dog registered with an AKC Limited Registration shall be ineligible to be entered in  breed competition in a licensed or member dog show. It is eligible, however, to be entered in any other licensed or member event. These events include: Obedience, Tracking, Field Trials, Hunting Tests, Herding, Lure Coursing, Agility and Earthdog.
