TAMERLANE LABRADORS
Vaccination Schedule
Tamerlane Labs believes in a proactive approach in preventing and limiting disease and infection. Puppies acquire immunity through the ingestion of their mothers milk (colostrum). This immunity only protects the puppies for a short period of time, usually six to ten weeks after birth. Vaccinations help puppies transition from the immunity acquired from their mother to an active immune system of their own. The period during vaccinations is critical. This is a time of transition as the puppies develop their own antibodies. Great care must be taken to limit the puppys exposure to other animals and situations where it may contract an infection until the booster schedule is completed.
